What if the walls could talk? What secrets would the old chair in your living room tell you? What stories do the objects you use every day hide from you? During these classes we will explore the stories hidden in your home and objects from you everyday life. We will work on ways to capture objects in an expressive and vivid way, exploring how lines, colours and shapes can reveal your personal history.

We start by drawing objects from our immediate surroundings: a favourite mug, a vase you've had for years or a messy stack of books. You will discover how each object can reflect something of yourself and your life. Then we go beyond the visual: we explore how we can convey expression and stories through the way we draw. Is it a fast, energetic line or just a thoughtful, slow movement? Will the objects be large and powerful, or small and fragile? By experimenting with techniques such as shadow, texture and colour, our drawings take on an extra layer and the objects really come to life.

Step by step, we discover that even the most mundane things carry a story, and that you are the key to telling these stories.
