WISPER Gent has its own spaces at DOK Noord. Here, you will find our offices, writing room (literatuurlokaal), music studio (muziekstudio), theater (theaterzaal) & visual arts workplace (beeldatelier). Other WISPER-courses take place at De Expeditie, De Expeditie, Doxtudio and Danspunt. (All four locations are marked with yellow stars on the map below).

WALKING OR BY BIKE
You can access the site in two ways: through the entrance at Sint-Salvatorstraat (enter at the big metal fence on the street side) or through the entrance at the ring road (entrance through green gate below Delhaize-sign). Most course locations are located near the entrance at Sint-Salvatorstraat - only Doxtudio is closer to the ring road entrance. At the Sint-Salvatorstraat entrance, there is a passage for pedestrians and cyclists just next to the metal fence. There are 75 bicycle parking spaces on the site, in the passage between De Expeditie and Danspunt (where you will find our main "basecamp" as well).
BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Tram 4 (Gent UZ - Ledeberg - Stelplaats) connects the train station Gent-Sint-Pieters and the stop Tolpoort (at a 200 meter walk from the Dok Noord entrance at Sint-Salvatorstraat).
From the Gent-Dampoort train station you can either walk (20 minutes) or take bus 6 (direction Gent Watersportbaan - Mariakerke Post) until the stop Gent Muidebrug. From there, it is a 5 minute walk to Dok Noord. Check www.delijn.be for the timetables!
BY CAR
Coming from Antwerpen-Kortrijk (E17) or from Brussel-Oostende (E40), take the exit Gent-Centrum and follow the sign "Alle Richtingen". Take a right at the traffic lights and follow the R40 in the direction of Gent-Dampoort-Eeklo. At the Oktrooiplein (roundabout at Gent-Dampoort train station) you continue in the direction of Eeklo (third exit). After 1,2 km you reach Dok Noord via Stapelplein. Follow the R40 further along and take a 90° turn to the left. Just before the traffic lights, you can turn left to the Sassevaartstraat.
The entrance of the parking is located at 150 meter on your right. To leave the parking, take the exit Carelsplein. From there, it is a 100 meter walk to De Expeditie (building F). Careful: you also have to pay for parking around the site (even at night). Take this into account to avoid a fine!
WISPER GENT (LITERATUURLOKAAL, MUZIEKSTUDIO, THEATERZAAL, BEELDATELIER)
Our main "basecamp" on Dok Noord 4D is located in the passage between De Expeditie and Danspunt. When you're standing in front of De Expeditie with your back towards Hal 16, the passage is on your right (it's the one with the many bicycle parking spots). The entrance is opposite from café Way. You can also follow the signalisation towards 4D.
DE EXPEDITIE
De Expeditie is located in building F at the square opposite from Hal 16. Inside you will find the rehearsal spaces of Victoria Deluxe (first floor) and the meeting room (second floor). If needed, you can ask directions on the ground floor at Circuscentrum.
DOXTUDIO
If you enter the Dok Noord site from the ring road side, you walk the roofed passage until you reach the open square. Take the stairs or the escalator on your right: DOXTUDIO is at the first floor in the shopping center, right next to the stairs.
DANSPUNT
The Danspunt studio's are in the building closest to Sint-Salvatorstraat. The entrance is around the corner opposite from the round waste containers (see map).
