Do you ever think about what would happen if a simple object, like a paper figure or an everyday object, suddenly came to life? Find out during this course. Together, we will get to work with stop-motion and discover step by step how to make a whole world move with nothing more than still images. We start small, by making flipbooks. Then we will explore how we can also use photographs or drawings to create digital animations that tell a story.
We will dive into different techniques: from working with the 2D cut-out technique — where we cut and paste paper figures — to building miniature sets complete with lighting. How do you capture a story in the movement of an object? And what happens when you play with light and shadow in a miniature film set?
Together, we experiment with all these questions as we explore the potential of stop-motion. Each technique brings new possibilities and surprises. From simple sketches to a vivid world, we grow our stories, one frame at a time. What do you want to bring to life?
