In this weekend course, you’ll be introduced to the wonderful world of music production: from setting up the equipment to recording techniques, and from arranging to mixing. You’ll learn everything involved in a real production process! So yes, do bring your instrument along. You’ll also be part of the ad-hoc band whose fictional album we’ll be writing, recording and finishing. We won’t be focusing on ironing out every last detail, but rather on the process as a whole. That way, you’ll be able to get started yourself at home, with minimal equipment.
This weekend is for anyone who wants to get a taste of music production. As long as you’ve got the basics of your instrument or voice down, you’re welcome. Let’s get in the zone, and vibe!
This try-out does not include an in-depth technical explanation of computer software. The features covered are intended to demonstrate the process. However, the format of this course does not allow us to help each individual participant get to grips with their specific DAW. For that, we’d be happy to refer you to our Ableton course!
Have you mastered the basics of production? For advanced songwriters and producers, there’s this intensive 7-weekend long course, where we delve deep into every part of the process and put all the theory into practice.
Check www.opek.be for more information about how to get here. At the first session, you will be welcomed by someone from WISPER who will tell you exactly where in/around the building your course takes place.
Good to know if you take a full-day course here: for the lunch break, you can bring your own lunch, eat in at Café Entrepot or buy something at the Lidl supermarket around the corner.
