Welcome to our open mic!
Where you can perform a self-written text, a poem, a monologue, a spoken-word performance, a song, an act, a stand-up routine, a musical piece ... Anything goes, this is your moment on stage! The audience is your safety net, supporting whatever you choose to share. The open mic is hosted by slam poetry teacher and spoken-word artist Bart Vereecke.
Would you like to perform at our open mic? Registration is required. Please state clearly in the comments what you plan to do and what you need from us. You will receive your specific performance time during the week leading up to the event.
Would you simply like to come and watch or listen? You are, of course, more than welcome to do so, no registration is necessary. Just show come to OPEK and let the performers of the evening surprise you!
Check www.opek.be for more information about how to get here. At the first session, you will be welcomed by someone from WISPER who will tell you exactly where in/around the building your course takes place.
Good to know if you take a full-day course here: for the lunch break, you can bring your own lunch, eat in at Café Entrepot or buy something at the Lidl supermarket around the corner.
