The WISPER jams are a mix of good vibes, cool people, fun grooves and great music. Every now and then, Reindert says something and you may think: 'Damn, he's right!' Are you down to really explore that? Or do you sometimes have great ideas late at night, but can't get them out during the jam? That's perfectly normal.
In this special, we're going to dive deep into the art of jamming together, and we'll do that in two specific formats: funk and blues, more specifically Ala BB King and James Brown. Our resident musician and saxophonist Reindert will give you all the tools you need to feel at home in these traditional genres. Together, we will explore your role or story and how to share it in an improvisational musical group. From the 1930s to the 1970s. Expect extremely infectious grooves, high energy and shuffling feet.
Singers and musicians welcome! Drummers too.
Check www.opek.be for more information about how to get here. At the first session, you will be welcomed by someone from WISPER who will tell you exactly where in/around the building your course takes place.
Good to know if you take a full-day course here: for the lunch break, you can bring your own lunch, eat in at Café Entrepot or buy something at the Lidl supermarket around the corner.
