Through movement research - playing, exploring, dancing, individually, and with partners - we explore both the small movements within our bodies and the grand movements of our bodies throughout the studio.
We explore how we can create platforms for partners to surf on, and how we can find these platforms with others. We allow ourselves to be carried along by the dance and deepen our skills to maintain physical contact along the way. We learn more about supporting, carrying, surprising, (adjusting) direction, listening, and so on. We engage with gravity and explore how our connective tissue can be an anchor for communication.
Sometimes we work playfully from self-imposed limitations, other times we linger on a single task to explore new possibilities. We work both individually and with partners.
The result of these training sessions: a more intelligent body, capable of initiating and responding authentically. Speed and flow, high and low, become a natural consequence as greater awareness grows at all levels of our movement.
