The guiding principle throughout these sessions is the word: conne-x-ions. Oona starts from the idea of 'connection' on various levels, in the broadest sense of the word.
We explore connections within our dancing body, but also with others, the space, our imagination, and the music.
How can we involve our entire body when we move? How can we play with balance and equilibrium? How are movement and breathing connected? How does one movement flow into another? How do I move and play with time and space? Where does imagination come into the picture? And where in all of this do I meet the other while dancing?
Words that form a red thread throughout the sessions are: grounding, expansion, flow, and attention. Each session begins with focused bodywork to arrive and warm up our body and senses. We do this in various ways, such as short meditations, working with pressure points on the body, breathing exercises, and light stretching. Subsequently, we get to work with free movement and dance. We deepen and expand our dance potential, get to know each other's dance world, and explore the interplay of time and space together. Zooming in, discovery, play, and connection are central to the sessions.
About bodywork at WISPER
Our bodywork sessions focus on making space to zoom in on insight into our body structure and movement patterns with time, attention, and relaxation. This supports us in dancing and moving in a healthy way and, more generally, in integrating healthy movement patterns into our daily lives. Highly recommended for every dancer and, in general, everyone!
