Isaiah Selleslaghs (she/her, °98) is a dancer, dance teacher, and choreographer with a background in contemporary dance and dance/movement therapy. She studied Modern Theatre Dance at the University of the Arts in Amsterdam and, in recent years, earned a bachelor’s degree in movement therapy (creative therapy).
As a performer, Isaiah has appeared with Opera Zuid and Poetic Disasters Club and has been a member of the WArd/waRD company for several years. She combines her artistic practice with a strong social commitment. She has led workshops in various settings and has worked as a movement therapist in psychiatric settings, day programs for people with disabilities, and with underage refugees. Drawing on this experience, she develops socio-artistic projects in which dance serves as a means to facilitate expression and connection.
