Stéphanie Auberville
Stéphanie Auberville is a choreographer and improviser based in Brussels. Her researches are driven by a taste for collective dance, philosophy, and poetry. Improvisation and real-time composition form the backbone of her work, the starting point for her research and choreographic practices. She is strongly influenced by the work of Lisa Nelson and Tuning Scores, and Contact Improvisation. She has also studied Simone Forti's Logomotion, Nancy Stark Smith's Underscore, and Déborah Hay's work.
Her solo Salutations Mistinguettes was co-produced by Charleroi danse and presented at the Legs festival. M-81, a piece for seven young dancers, is a continuation of this solo. Her upcoming creation, Ailleurs n'existe pas, is a developpement of her research into traditional dances.
