We often look for ways to make our drawings dynamic. But of course there are limits to the amount of movement you can impart to still images ... Enter animation, which allows you to bring your drawings and characters completely to life!
What if we want our character to jump off the page, or perform a movement like brushing teeth, or fly through the air? How do we achieve a convincing suggestion of movement? Using some simple animation techniques, this is easier than you think!
During this workshop, we will research the human body in motion by starting from model drawing. From there, we will continue our investigation on paper and iPad.
We use a whole set of analogue materials like charcoal, (coloured) pencils, watercolours, pastels ... and then introduce the iPad to bring the whole thing together in movement.
