The core of most things we see around us in nature is also the core of every cell in our bodies: the spiral. And spirals are also the subject of this short contemporary dance series!

A spiral inherently means: movement. During the sessions, spiral movement becomes our starting point to find efficiency, direction and continuity in our dance. The flow of movement through the spine to the ends of our body.

Directions open up, inside our body as well as outwards. Upwards, downwards, swirling diagonally through space. By zooming in on this, we create more opening in the whole body and increase our connection with the space in which we move.

In short: spiraling. Up and down, all around, combined with lots of flow and dancing fun!

Practical

Wear clothes in which you can move easily. We dance barefoot. Bring a bottle of water.

Level of experience

Level 2: you have already taken at least one (but preferably several) basic contemporary dance courses at WISPER or elsewhere.
