Over the course of six Sunday mornings, we immerse ourselves in this interplay of chance and creative freedom. We explore our arsenal of directions, choices, and possibilities.
In doing so, we open up and train both our movement vocabulary and our powers of perception. We sharpen our senses and our instincts. We become more aware of the space and its organization, of time and dynamics—and how these elements connect with one another, as well as our own place within them.
We listen—in various ways: to ourselves, to our fellow dancers, and to the composition as a whole. We observe how we make choices. We see how the events around us influence our dance, and how our dance and our choices echo far beyond us.
