Gabriel Agius Pascalidis

Gabriel Agius Pascalidis is a multi-instrumentalist from Malta, based in Brussels, who is involved in community music, participatory arts and multicultural contexts, with a focus on creating spaces where people can connect, express themselves and make music together.

Having started playing music at a young age in community wind bands, Gabriel approaches music as a shared and collective practice. Alongside performing, he dedicates his practice to education and participatory music-making, exploring ways of learning through improvisation, collaboration and active engagement.

His practice is rooted in inclusion and aims to make music accessible to people from different backgrounds and with varying levels of experience.

Originally trained as a mechanical engineer, he retains a curiosity about how things function and interact. This perspective continues to shape his artistic work and his interest in how music can support wellbeing, personal growth and social connection.

Gabriel plays the clarinet and saxophone, and also works with the guitar, piano, bass and percussion. He collaborates across disciplines and musical genres, bringing an open, flexible and process-oriented approach to artistic projects and group work.

He studied Music as a Subject at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague (2025–26) and is an alumnus of the Music Leadership programme facilitated by Musicians Without Borders in Leeds (2026).
