This workshop is a laboratory that invites you to observe the relationship between your body and the city. In this connection, the city shows itself as creative soil and scenic space, while the body resonates as a sensitive instrument of the tangible and intangible events in it.

Personal and collective cartographies, written and spoken descriptions and of course, explorations with the body in movement. All of this leads us into a dialogue with the architectural, human and cultural aspects of our urban environment.

We welcome everyone who likes to explore the city or receive from it, in a sensorial and physical way. People who love movement, but also visual artists and architects who love to approach the city with movement.

We work both individual, in small groups and as a whole group, collaborating on an individual as well as collective level.

Carolina’s exploration and experience is rooted in the work she started in the city context of Colombia. She brings tools to perceive individually and collectively, as well as to contribute your presence and movement to the space. Moments of observation, exploration and composition will alternate.

Practical

Wear clothes and shoes in which you can move easily in an urban outside environment (take into account the weather conditions). Bring a bottle of water.

Level of experience

Level X: this course is engaging and accessible to all, regardless of previous dance or moving experience. However, it is necessary to want to explore the city environment on the move and with all your senses.
