Inspiring Thursday evenings that start with focused yet playful movement research and end in danc! In movement, we experience our anatomy. What is the logic of how our body organises itself in movement? We will experience this in practice.
We play with muscle tone, with the balance between power and release, we experience our arsenal of movement qualities. We experiment with time and space and explore how they too influence our dancing body.
Each session works with a physical focus, zooming in on a movement principle or body part and working towards play, improvisation and creation. Always with the aim of getting to know our musculoskeletal system more deeply and expanding our possibilities for expression and movement. Işıl is particularly inspired by anatomy, kinesiology, Alexander technique, Bartenieff technique and Laban technique. Her starting point is that each person has a unique way of moving and her goal is therefore to introduce everyone to that highly personal expression and to enrich their movement vocabulary from there.
