During this four-day workshop on mindful movement, we focus our attention on the here and now and how we can connect our dance expression to it. By grounding we reach depth and authenticity in our dance.
We start with our breathing, our senses and sensing what is happening in and around us. Next, with calm breathing and a conscious mind, we start moving. Guided improvisations and varied movement approaches invite you to translate this deeper contact with your body and your inner world into freedom of movement. You grow in body awareness and develop a movement language that reflects your truth and your inner world!
Instructor Francesca combines for this four-day immersion insights and principles from dance improvisation, contemporary dance, Hatha yoga, mindfulness and somatic practices.
For dancers and movers who want to deepen their emotional expression and learn more about connecting body and mind in movement. You get a safe space to explore what you feel, what your body needs, and how to embrace and express these inner experiences through dance. The techniques we explore let both your artistic and your personal being grow, with more authentic and embodied physical expression as a result.
