Language & teacher(s) Dutch/English

Where words fall short, music acts as a common language. It allows us to tell the other about ourselves or, even more, to build a connecting, common story. This is why we are looking for musicians from all walks of life and backgrounds to make music together.

Our goal? Mixing musicians with musicians! That way, we bring different languages, backgrounds, cultures and ages into contact with each other.

The community band is mainly for those who are less fluent in art, art education or higher education in general, but do want to develop musically.

All instruments are welcome: saxophone, guitar, oed, derboeka, ukulele,... Or maybe you prefer to use your voice as an instrument?

Your experience/level does not matter, both beginners and advanced players will have their place in our orchestra. We start with improvisation or input from the participants. Gradually, as a group, we focus on our own repertoire.

This workshops is part of De Tiendaagse van de Geestelijke Gezondheid.

Practical

All instruments can join: from saxophone to guitar to oed, derboeka and ukulele. Or do you prefer to use your voice as your instrument? It's all possible.

Level of experience

Level X: everyone is welcome, regardless of experience. With the community band, we would like to connect different languages, backgrounds, cultures and ages.
