Do you have a band? A duo? Are you a producer and working with other musicians? Are you curious about how the recording process really works? Always wanted to record something, but never got around to it? Or you already tried it in your garage, but you were not satisfied with the result?

This weekend, WISPER invites 1 musical (group) project to record a demo track!

WHAT DO YOU GET?

Musicians and producers Reindert and Pieter-Jan will guide you during the recording process from A to Z in a pop-up studio in OPEK. You will go home with one finished demo track, a lot of inspiration and much more insight into the process of music production and recording.

FOR WHO?


  • Groups of at least two musicians (no solo projects)
  • You have not yet recorded any music in a professional studio (DIY and home recordings not included)
  • You have no music on Spotify yet and have not yet released something on CD or Vinyl. (Soundcloud or other streaming services not included)
  • Your project has a connection with Leuven or the surrounding area (at least one of the members lives in or studies in Leuven, or you have another obvious link with the city)

Joining

Send an email to reindert@wisper.be introducing your project with a short text (max one A4). Projects that add a rough smartphone recording from the rehearsal room have a better chance at being selected (forward your track as a private Soundcloud link - not as an e-mail attachment or download). Don't worry: you won't be judged on the quality of the recording you send us. The WISPER team selects projects on a good story and a cool song. Good luck!

For semi-professional musical talent in the music scene in Leuven (no solo projects, at least two musicians).

    Check www.opek.be for more information about how to get here. At the first session, you will be welcomed by someone from WISPER who will tell you exactly where in/around the building your course takes place.

    Good to know if you take a full-day course here: for the lunch break, you can bring your own lunch, eat in at Café Entrepot or buy something at the Lidl supermarket around the corner.
