Choreography ... What's in a name? For a whole week, we will play and experiment with it. Choreography is not just about puzzling, ordering, finding, reinventing and making choices. It is also about making movement material your own. It's about embodying movements.
In choreography, timing is a very interesting topic. What is your timing? And what is the group's timing? Can we find each other, synchronise, contrast? What feeling or atmosphere does a certain timing evoke in you, when you dance and when you watch?
Next, we will go one step further and talk about phrasing. Beginnings and endings. What is your arc of movement? What feelings and images does it evoke
Getting excited? So are we! During the autumn holiday, several special courses will take place in Ghent at Dok Noord. Who knows, we might bump into each other along the way or get some inspiration from each other in between.
