THEME: ACTION
What happens when we fail, forget, or get lost?
What is lost, what do you carry with you?
In this studio series, we explore the creative playing field between forgetting and remembering.
We approach time, place, and action as changeable, porous units. Together, we investigate how landscapes, stories, and signs can disappear, transform, and reappear. The studio becomes a laboratory where personal experiences and collective experiments intersect.
How to imagine the future when the answers of the past seem insufficient?
In this session, we will create a collective zine as a manifesto for the future. Using poetry, text, and images, we will search for a language to deal with a loss that we seem unable to control. We will work with collage, composition, and the (re)contextualization of torn-out material.
You can choose to register separately for the workshops that focus on time and place.
Check www.opek.be for more information about how to get here. At the first session, you will be welcomed by someone from WISPER who will tell you exactly where in/around the building your course takes place.
Good to know if you take a full-day course here: for the lunch break, you can bring your own lunch, eat in at Café Entrepot or buy something at the Lidl supermarket around the corner.
