Ready for a dynamic and playful dive into the colourful world of contemporary dance? Our basic courses are all about discovering and developing the potential of the dancing body.

We explore basic elements of contemporary dance. We grow in body awareness, and learn more about use of space, musicality and composition. Both technique, improvisation and composition are covered in our contemporary dance classes. We stimulate our senses, our creative capacity and open and broaden our movement vocabulary.

Three sessions filled with dance, discovery, creation and, above all, fun. Perfect for beginning dancers and motivated movers!

Practical

Wear clothes in which you can move easily. We dance barefoot. Bring a bottle of water.

Fancy a drink before or after your course? During our Ghent Summer Week, the WISPER bar will be open on Tuesday July 2, Wednesday July 3 and Thursday July 4 from 5pm to 10pm.

Level of experience

Level 1: you have not yet taken a contemporary dance course OR you want to get back/further master the basics. The basic courses can easily and preferably be taken several times.
