3-day CI Immersion
This workshop is part of a 3-day immersion in contact improvisation in Ghent from May 29 to 31.
This is a three-day program with several workshops. You can register for the whole CI-immersion or for separate activities.
The mornings focus on movement research from different angles.
In the afternoons, two facilitators co-teach. They exchange their movement language and approaches to CI with each other and the group.
After the afternoon session, there is room for integration and experiment:
During “New dialogues w/ Mileen & Ady,” Mileen Borgonjon and Ady Elzam meet on the floor and co-create.
Mileen is a dancer, performer, especially at home in the field of impro performance and passionate about contact improvisation. CI for her is a source of inspiration for movement research and a platform to reflect on the greatest “encounter” and improvisation we call “life". She loves a dynamic and playful entry into the movement principles of this rich form, with a nod in the process to our poetic layers.
Her own journey as a mover, dancer and performer led her past several masters in “instant composition,” and past inspiring movement and somatic methods including Thai yoga massage, Breathwork, Gaga, Ido Portal Method and Playfight.
Ady loves to engage in experiences, through play, dynamics and fun. He flirts with the limits of the known and the comfortable to experiment with the magic formula of learning: playing and going beyond what we already know.
Ady is curious by nature. He loves new challenges and goes deep into what he does. His dance path brought besides masters, exciting collaborations with several other dancers. He integrated the Ilan Lev Method in his dance practice. Much of his work, life vision and attitude draws from the richness of this method.
