Carla Parcianello is an artist from Italy, based in Leuven.
They're primarily trained in street and club dance styles, embracing Waacking as their main form of expression. In addition, they have studied footwork-based styles such as UK Jazz and House Dance, as well as rudiments of contemporary dance (Gaga, Flying Low, Instant Composition, and Butoh).
Without an academic background, the underground battle scene was a key space for their growth as a dancer. Since moving to Belgium in 2022, they have begun their professional career as a performer working between France, Belgium and The Netherlands with companies such as Compagnie Nassangar, while also emerging as a choreographer. In 2025, they premiered their first dance hallucination, Capricciosa.
Their movement research focuses on deconstructing their club-dance background into a language that allows them to build character-driven fictions and tell absurd, horrific, funny, yet deeply human stories.
As a non-binary artist and educator, Carla aims to create an inclusive space within waacking practice, one that invites people to find their personal and honest voice rather than falling into a standardization of the style, and above all, to have fun with it.
