Wim De Pauw

Wim De Pauw graduated from the LUCA school of Arts Ghent at the painting department in 2011. He currently lives and works in Brussels. Because of his fascination for objects and their relation to its space, his work evolved to a more sculptural counterpart where he introduces objects in his paintings. These works become a play of chess: multiple elements such as text, images and objects are the players on the board where tension is created between the object and its surface. Most of the time he plays with time and space, so works are interpreted as a vehicle and can be changed continuously.
