Ulla Hase

Ulla Hase is primarily known for her drawings, which arise out of repetitive gestures. Most of her artworks are geometric with strong atmospheric values. Ulla Hase’s rigorous working process combines the rational with the intuitive. Starting with no external source material and no preconceived idea of what the final result could be, she creates complex abstract works, which ultimately have as their subject the process of their own creation. Although two dimensional, the drawings exhibit a sense of depth and movement through the various layers of lines.
