Sanne Rous

Sanne Rous is primarily a painter/drawer. In her pratice, she is interested in the idea of notes and the lateral jotting down of observations from which an image emerges. She gets excited by moments in which the image escapes preconceived plans and can show her something she did not know before. For several years now, Sanne has combined her practice with teaching, and this with a preference for model drawing/painting. She loves the immediate presence of the model and the concentrated looking that comes with it. It is a moment where observation, drawing and intuition come together.
