Peter Van den Ende

After studying biology, Peter Van den Ende (1985) worked as a nature guide in the Cayman Islands for two years, where he found the inspiration for his debut novel “Zwerveling” (Querido, 2019). This was followed by two more collaborations with Bart Moeyaert. Peter often finds the inspiration for his dreamlike illustrations in everyday life. He transforms the things he experiences, admires or desires into an imaginary, alternative version of reality. Meaning and symbolism are very important to him. Although he can explain everything he draws, Peter prefers readers to find their own meaning in it.
