Manou Selhorst

Manou did the theatre study Directing & Teaching at Toneelacademie Maastricht, studied Theatre Sciences at UGent, and trained in flamenco dance in Sevilla. She has experience as a dancer and actress with action zoo humain, among others, and likes to combine both disciplines in her theatrical practice. As a teacher, she often starts from visual and physical improvisations, taking her actors into absurd and nostalgic worlds. She likes to walk the tightrope between lonely tragedy and connection, somewhere between the strange and the familiar.
