Machteld Timmermans

Machteld Timmermans is an actress and theatre maker. She graduated from the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. Since 1996, she has performed with the Brussels repertory theatre company Ensemble Leporello, where she was initiated into the moving and humorous commedia dell'arte theatre. From 2005 to 2015, Machteld was part of the artistic core of theatre company Het Ongerijmde, where she wrote and directed alongside acting. Besides theatre, Machteld also directed several chamber operas and music theatre productions. She has already performed several roles in television and film productions.
