Lieve Claesen

Lieve Claesen has been passionate about drawing since childhood, and to this day she loves nothing more than illustrating and exploring different techniques on paper. That is why, as soon as she could, she enrolled at art school and later went on to study art at university. Lieve eventually graduated with a degree in Printmaking and now teaches art to adults in various illustration and drawing workshops.

She also designs cards for MAILBOX-cards and published her first book, ‘A Little Book About Grief & Comfort’, in 2019.

Finally, in 2022, she won ‘Picture This!’, an international illustration competition for emerging illustrators who view picture books as an art form where visual language and storytelling come together.
