Lieselotte Vloeberghs’ visual art draws on belief systems that impart meaning and shape reality. Motifs from religion, myth, science and other fields find their way into her drawings, sculptures and installations. Lieselotte enjoys working with natural materials. Gathering and harvesting materials found in her surroundings creates space for a meaningful encounter with the environment.
By drawing on and with found, living, harvested, traditionally treated and industrially produced materials, she explores the tension and points of contact between the material and the drawing. She is also the founder of Grove, an organisation dedicated to art and ecology.
