Katha Löffler

Katharina works, creates and researches internationally as a dancer and facilitator. She graduated as a dancer, choreographer and pedagogue at “Tanz-Zentrale Leipzig” and at “Área Dansa I Creació” in Barcelona. Led by her interest in performance she later studied at "Laboratorio theatre school" in Barcelona. She co-founded “Laroc - movement space” in Badalona and “Wellenfest association” in Innsbruck. Currently she researches and creates her own work with two performance collectives, works as a dancer and performer in dance and physical theatre and facilitates dance-workshops and Movement-Art- Festivals.

Her work is nourished by a variety of dance and movement, always involving touch, sensibility, play and a big fascination for everything that moves the human body. Her art is curious about the boundaries between human and non-human bodies, and confronts that body with the rawness, abundance and transformative quality of nature.
