Johannes Vande Voorde

Photographer Johannes Vande Voorde (°1976) is based in Antwerp. After studying Art History at KU Leuven and Photography at Sint-Lucas Brussels, he works, represented by ID Photo Agency, as a professional press and commercial photographer. His commissions include work for national and international newspapers, magazines, advertising and communications agencies, as well as direct collaborations with various artists. In addition to his photographic work, Johannes Vande Voorde is also active as a cameraman and Director of Photography for both commercial productions and artistic projects and documentaries. His independent work is characterised by a focus on portrait and documentary photography, in which he creates long-term series centred on historical and social themes. One of his publications, ‘Forgotten Heroes’ (Lannoo), documents the fate of Polish veterans during the Second World War.
