Jelle De Wit

Jelle De Wit studied directing and theatre education at the Academy of Theatre in Tilburg and went on to complete a Master’s degree in Devised Theatre and Performance at Rose Bruford College in London.

Jelle lives and works in Berlin as a director and coach. Together with a collective of artistic trainers, he develops and leads workshops for international actors and performers, focusing on theatre and performance techniques and deepening their own artistic language.

In his own work, Jelle likes to start from physical theatre. Using the body as a starting point, he explores everyday behaviour and social dynamics, which he translates into a visual, scenic language. His work balances between familiarity and alienation, thereby shifting the perspective on everyday situations.
