Gwen van Arnhem

Gwen performs, makes, tells, writes and gives workshops, always with an eye for words, movement and imagination. What started with poetry and circus performances as a child and a Dutch musical training at Hofplein, became a love for making in the broad sense of the word.

After many courses and coaching with other makers, she made location theatre performances, audio opera performances, poetry projects for non-native speakers, library storytelling and dance performances, among others.

Gwen sees theatre and poetry in everything: in the everyday, the social, the human and the physical. Her work always contains an absurd layer; starting from images and movement, her words come into being.
