Gabor Vörös

Hungarian singer/guitarist Gàbor ‘Humble’ Vörös roamed Europe before settling in Ghent in 1993. He participated in a number of musical projects, including an oddball folk-rock group called Dearest Companion. In 1996, he formed Humble Grumble, a group that existed until 2019 and toured across Europe with their avant-garde, progressive music. To date, Gàbor plays with Follia, a band that approaches folk from a different angle: jazz rhythms and rock influences blend smoothly with the folk base they bring.

He also worked as musical director for Ilaii, a Mexican circus company made up of artists and technicians from Cirque Du Soleil, adding his polyrhythmic ideas to aerial performances and stunning visual effects.

Gàbor guarantees that classes for both beginners and advanced students will be spiced with a healthy dose of humour, focus on both rhythm and soundscape, and introduce the joy of playing together.
