Fien Leenaerts

Fien Leenaerts is a graphic artist specialized in making monotypes with a deeply layered approach. She likes to work with found materials that she places in a new context through drawings. In doing so, she creates entirely new worlds in which she plays with the perception of everyday objects. Her work investigates the meaning of these objects taken from their familiar surroundings. Fien invites the viewer to see the world around us in a new way, plays with recognition and alienation and shows how different layers and contexts can change our perception.
