Eva Soenens

Eva Soenens is a theatre teacher/director who loves reading, diving into ice-cold lakes and breathes all things theatre.

After studying literature, she studied directing/teaching at the Maastricht Drama Academy. Her starting point is always a range of personal fascinations from everyday life or the visual arts and literature. In her approach, she creates a warm bath to achieve interplay, daring transformations and haunting play. In her direction, she looks for poetic, absurd and wry images. She likes to work with repertoire that she brings to life through music and concrete sayings.
