David Donegan (Daithi Rua)

Daithi Rua (David Donegan) is an Irish singer-songwriter/guitarist based in Gent. Daithi has been performing full-time in music for over 25 years. Since moving to Belgium in 2000, he has performed and written with many of the top names in the Flemish folk and contemporary scene such as Kadril, Urban Trad & Eva De Roovere and his songs have been covered by many artists worldwide.

Daithi is also a private guitar teacher, performance and songwriting coach. Every March he organises ‘The Big Folk ’N’ Irish Night’ which happens in the Main Room of De Centrale and he has been a volunteer sound engineer at the Brussels Folk club and at various open mic and songwriter nights around Belgium.
