A perfect setting is everything, even for musicians and songwriters! That's why we're taking you to the French mountains and rivers this summer. While staying at the idyllic monastère ‘Sainte-Croix’ ... you will have oceans of time to devote to your musical ideas.
This week is specifaclly for musicians and singers who want to make music together and discover how to go from a simple note to a strong song. Reindert, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and producer, will help you on your way. He provides inspiration, motivation and coaching.
Together with the other participants you get to work. You will write, play, listen, try, but above all enjoy this musical adventure! Let the moment and the location inspire you. When you are ready, you can let the group hear something. They are your first, safe audience from whom you get feedback that you can then use to move forward.
At the end of the week we will showcase our work and/or ongoing projects for eachother (and a small audience).
Don't panic, you don't have to be a musical genius to participate, or have the ambition to release your songs (although of course you can). As long as you master the basics of your instrument or voice and are curious about the process of writing a good song.
In between making music, there is of course also room for relaxation: in the afternoon, you do as you please. If you are on a roll, you can of course keep on jamming, but you can also take a break during a siesta, a dip in the river, a ride on a mountain bike, a kayak trip, etc. Like the "je ne sais quoi", only the French can do!
