Sessions with Siri are both poetic and physically technical. Fuelled by Siri's visual, metaphorical language, during this workshop we activate a special sense, our inner vision. Starting from what is simple and seemingly known, and through the exploratory experience of our anatomy, we enter the layers and universes of our moving body. Our eyes, hands, vertebrae... take on a language of their own. A language that subtly makes us find our own little dance and guides us straight to the core of a solidly grounded technique. Immerse your analytical mind in a warm bath and let your 'creative mind' bubble in abundance.
This workshop is part of a four-day immersion in contact improvisation. From 9 to 12 May, several teachers will share their experiences and inspiration in the field of contact improvisation.
In the mornings we focus on movement research from very different perspectives. In the afternoons, two teachers always teach together. They share their movement language and approaches with each other and the group. They create an environment where you broaden your understanding, inspiration and practice of contactimpro.
Whether you are a beginner or an experienced contact impro dancer, these sessions allow everyone to get started in an accessible way and you will get a lot of inspiration anyway. On Friday, after the afternoon session and before the evening jam, we make time to sit together, ask questions and reflect on contactimpro-related topics.
