About bodywork at WISPER
Our bodywork places focus on taking time for recovery, renewal and gaining a better understanding of our body structure. This supports us to dance and move in a healthy way and more generally: integrate healthy movement patterns into our daily lives. Bodywork into movement will always make the bridge from somatic inputs to an integration of these inputs into our dance and moving body.
Highly recommended for every dancer and by extension for everyone!
About Feldenkrais
The Feldenkrais Method® uses gentle movements and focused attention to help people learn new and more effective ways of living and moving, based on the vision that you don't have to suffer physical complaints without being able to do something about them yourself. Through gentle movement explorations, you gradually regain your own physical latitude. The goal: experiencing a body that knows, by learning to feel (again) and gaining a new image of yourself.
With this new image and wiser body, we come into action with renewed awareness and a new sense of timing and space. Each session highlights a specific body part and its capacity for movement in relation to the rest of the body. We work individually and in pairs, using touch, to understand the body in different ways and experience dance and movement in new, surprising ways.
