As part of Body of Work - Unfolding Fase, STUK's festival for living dance heritage (20/02-09/03), WISPER, STUK and Rosas join forces in organizing master classes around the choreographic tools of Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker and Rosas.
Rosas dancers Sue-Yeon Youn and Boštjan Antončič will each teach a workshop exploring basic choreographic principles and tools developed and used by Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker and the dancers of Rosas over the years. We will play with time and space, investigate musicality and rhythm, and examine the geometry of the body. By learning a number of movement phrases from older and recent Rosas repertoire, we will explore various tools to generate movement phrases and to transform and play with them.
Sue-Yeon and Boštjan will each start from different tools and movement material from different performances.
This workshop will be held on monday (3d of March), but you can also attend a later version on tuesday (4th of March).
Check www.opek.be for more information about how to get here. At the first session, you will be welcomed by someone from WISPER who will tell you exactly where in/around the building your course takes place.
Good to know if you take a full-day course here: for the lunch break, you can bring your own lunch, eat in at Café Entrepot or buy something at the Lidl supermarket around the corner.
