This course is for advanced producers, DJs, artists, musical creators and composers who are comfortable using computers in their creative process.
We'll work with Ableton Live, the favorite music creation tool of many artists, producers, DJs and beatmakers. It's an ideal digital recording studio as well!
In eight lessons, we'll take a look at the creative process from start to finish. The first lessons will delve deeper into beatmaking/rhythm and sound design/melody/harmony. From there, we'll work our way up to a small loop, then a real arrangement and a finished track.
Don't expect the standard YouTube “how a compressor works” approach, but rather professional tips and creative assignments that will give you valuable insights, both in a group and individually.
The teachers for this course are our resident all-round musician Reindert (saxophonist, producer and songwriter) and professional chill-hop producer and DJ Thomas Schillebeeckx (aka Poldoore). Together, they will guide you through Ableton's latest tricks and best-kept secrets.
After this course, you are guaranteed to be inspired to work confidently at home on your unique new hit, beat or soundscape.
