Astrid Delombaerde is a dancer, performer, teacher and choreographer. She took courses in contemporary dance technique at Art Factory international and instant composition and performance at TIP in Freiburg. After touring with the dance company DNA, she started creating her own work such as temporary tender, wilderness without a name and Rain, no sand.
As a creative jack-of-all-trades, she alternates production with management. She worked as a production assistant for KAAP during DANSAND and is co-founder of the Ghent Dansoverleg and Broeidansatelier, an interdisciplinary platform for movement.
As a choreographer, she feeds her artistic research every day. She sees a workshop as sharing her artistic practice. Dancing together is making art, a layered process in which we can create 'something bigger'.
