Anna Khina

Anna Borodikhina, aka Anna Khina, is a spoken word performance artist, rapper and theatre maker. With her personal and socially critical lyrics, Anna wants people to listen to what is not heard. Her poetry has brought her to stages in Belgium and the Netherlands for over eight years.

As a youngster, she won prizes at Kunstbende with her poetry and became a school poet. In 2018, she won the Violencia competition with her spoken word poems and music. That same year, she was asked by VRT NXT as an inspirational speaker. In 2021, she won the Bijou prize with her musical spoken word theatre piece. She is also a member of the feminist writers' collective 'Hyster-X'.

For five years now, this creative jack-of-all-trades has been giving workshops in creative writing and slam poetry to VRT, Stad Antwerpen, MOB, Trill vzw and Creatief Schrijven vzw, for children, young people and adults, among others. As a workshop giver and teacher, she likes to inspire and stimulate people to find their own voice and style within the many possibilities of the art of spoken word.
