Anissa Zahi

Anissa Zahi is a theater writer, creator and performer who will graduate from the Artistic-Educational Master's Degree in Drama at Luca School of Arts in 2025. She teaches theater workshops and regularly directs at various amateur clubs (which she prefers to call enthusiasts). She worked and starred in “Blik” by Het Nieuwstedelijk, among others. This season she is in residence at Bac Art Lab and is directing at 30cc in collaboration with the Diversity and Equal Opportunity Service.

Anissa likes to write, create and perform heavy theater that becomes light. Big and existential themes are not shunned, but questioned and sometimes even mocked. Anissa has a fascination with making ungraspable things graspable and vice versa. Empathy, intuition and living in the now express themselves in absurdist realism. She likes to get the most out of things and loves nothing more than to bring out the best in people. She is a fan of all things 'give and take', freedom seeking and things that take guts. Anissa likes people who (dare to) be themselves, is not averse to a silly joke and will always say 'yes' more than 'no'.
