During this Hamdam, we come together for a musical journey that is not predetermined. We start in the here and now and build together with sound, silence, melody, or rhythm. Background, level, origin, or age do not matter. Playing along, listening, or just being present: everything is equally valuable.

This Hamdam is hosted by Ehsan Yadollahi, a musician with a passion for music and improvisation. Central to his work is discovering the hidden connections between people through rhythms, scales, melodies, and feelings.

Hamdam is an invitation to share sounds, melodies, and compositions together. In Iran, where Ehsan grew up, a good friend is called a “Hamdam”: someone with whom you can freely share emotions and thoughts without fear of judgment. We translate that idea into a safe, open session where a warm welcome is key and connection is the driving force.

This is your invitation to come and share sounds, melodies, and compositions, to respond and grow together. The path we take is more important than the outcome: connection is the goal.

Practical

Bring your own instrument, amplifier and cables (if you need any).

Level of experience

Level 2-3: for participants who can play chords and/or melodies by ear.
