This session with Siri is both poetic and physically technical. Fueled by Siri's vivid, metaphorical language, during this workshop we will activate a special sense, our inner vision. Starting from what is simple and seemingly known, and thru the inquisitive experience of our anatomy, we enter the layers and universes of our moving body. Our eyes, hands, and vertebrae develop their own language. A language that subtly helps us find our own dance and leads us directly to the core of a solid, well-grounded technique. Immerse your analytical mind in a warm bath and let your creative mind crackle with energy.

This workshop is part of a three-day immersion in Contact Improvisation on May 14–15–16. The program includes several workshops, a jam, a conversation table, and a performance evening. You are welcome to join one or multiple parts of the program!

Practical

Wear clothes in which you can move easily, without sharp or metal parts. Bring a bottle of water, a pair of light knee pads and a light lunch.

Level of experience

Level X: everyone is welcome. During this 3-day workshop, we want to create an environment where we can collectively broaden and deepen our practice, experience, and perspective on contact improvisation. Both beginner and experienced contact improvisation dancers are welcome and will find inspiration, deepening, and engaging reflection here. Some movement training or dance experience is recommended.
